Any Luck on the Pier

My son and I will be down from July 4 through 18. Will make a number of visits to the pier during our stay. Has the bait been consistent? Any advise on lures for fish in the area at that time? Looking forward to our visit and hope the fishing is good.

Bait and such

The bait has been at the pier, but the boats have been netting them like crazy. They are thinning them out rapidly. Crappie jigs for mackerel, plugs and diamond lures for jacks, bonita, kingfish. Goofy jigs for pompano

Can you help with a little advice on how to work a Goofy Jig - how heavy are they, what type of rod and reel are best suited, etc.?

Looking forward to a great trip and good fishing - any recent success stories at Juno Pier?
